I moved to Ft. Lauderdale in my senior year and M-CC had a track meet against my new school. Eddie was there and I went and cheered he and the M-CC team and had a lot of fun. However, it really got me in hot water at the new school! What fun! That's what I remember about Eddie. Fun. After I moved, I went down to an M-CC football game and met people back at the school. I saw Eddie and went running toward him, like in the movies, and tripped and fell in a most ungraceful manner. I imagine he thought I was funny, too. In fact, he was always laughing at me. Maybe he's STILL laughing.
Arce was one of the small group of cut-ups of which I counted myself. He was quick and bright and always on the move. His energy was limitless. He was a prankster and wonderful guy that I will always call my friend. I also believe he was destined to extraordinary things. I'm not sure what those things might have been but he was certainly anything but ordinary and I always felt he'd make an indelible mark on our world.
I have wondered over the years about Eddie. He was such a sweet guy. After he graduated he asked if he could write me from college and we stayed in touch for quite a while but never saw each other it was a friendship that I will always remember and treasure for the purity of it. We talked about all kinds of things and I will continue to think of him with great fondess and be thankful for having been blessed by his friendship.
Wow,Eddie was a good guy..Very popular..Remember him at the Place always yelling at my lousy dancing..I hope he's at peace..Does anyone know what happened?

Ed was in my homeroom and was always quick to smile. He never moved slow but always had time for a hello and smile. I think of him fondly.Dana Paul Wharton
