Since 1968, I have lived in one city -- Gainesville. I have earned a Bachelors, Masters and Specialist Degree. (What else is there to do?) I worked at the University of Florida for almost seven years. I taught part time at Santa Fe Community College for almost 20 years, while volunteering extensviely in the public schools and community organizations.
I am an avid Gator fan, attending football, basketball, gymnastics and occasionally volleyball games. I also subscribe to the local state theater and attend many cultural events. I like to scrapebook as well.
I enjoy traveling and have been to many states, as well as Europe and the Orient. My husband retired at the end of July 2008 after working for the City of Gainesville for 35 years. Since then, we have taken several trips in Florida, one to Arizona, Hawaii, and DC. I have also gone to Las Vegas, and the mountains of North Carolina with my girl friends. We will be attending the Cherry Bloosom Festival in DC in April.
I love spending time with my daughter, who now lives in DC. We are very close.
I hope to be able to attend the next mini reunion. |
