wow! haven't been here in a while!

so sorry to learn of the passing of a few folks!

i remain busy between work and writing songs and recording them in my "music room"!

my wife and i just bought a new place! it has a 2 stall heated garage, heated shop, 3 bedrooms (one of which is my music room), 2 baths and 1 1/2 acres of land that is surrounded by trees! it's "R Fur-Ever Home"!

i hope you all have a great holiday season; and, above all, stay safe!

I heard the same thing that Bobby culbertson died.  I looked on his fb page and there are postings there that he died and my info came from Barbara Turner.  She said she didn't know how he died, just that they found him at home dead.  So, sad. I used to ride horses with him.  RIP Bobby, gone too soon.

Someone posted Bobby's passing on the MCC fb page yesterday. There were no details of his passing. This is such a tragedy. Bobby was such a fun-loving guy and great friend to many. He will be greatly missed and my prayers go out to his family.

Linda ,

Bobby passed sometime between  5-25-15 and 5-27-18 no details on cause are known as of yet. Ron Aronson called and talked to Bobby's sister while I was on hold Friday this all we know at his time. Nelson Pruett

I looked on Bobby's fb page and there was mention as to a persistent cough and mention of known heart problems.  Other than that, nothing.  Maybe he had congestive heart failure? Such a sad and tragic loss to those of us who knew him.  I recall vividly our horse days together, especially a horseback race we had that his dad filmed.

So Sorry to hear about Bobby.  It's way too soon...

I remember he was on the front cover of the school calendar - but if I'm not mistaken, it was for '67, not '68!  Does anyone remember?

Very sorry to hear of Bobby Culbertson passing away. I vividly remember sitting in the N. Carol City elementary cafetorium eating lunch, and watching Bobby drink his carton of milk in two swallows and then letting out this increadibly realistic cow like mooing sound while the rest of us cracked up.

He was always pulling pranks and goofing around. Remember him getting in trouble for cow tipping. Never a dull moment Rest In Peace Bobby

Sorry to hear about Bobby.  I didn't know him very well but he was part of our Class 68 chiefs.  May he rest in peace.  My sympathies to all of his family.  God Bless.  Carmen

Sad to hear of Bobby's passing. Always admired the way he carried himself and was so cool in high school.

But mostly when he commented when I lost my Dad several years ago...... see Bobbys' words below from 2013,

"Wow  91 years old  .  those where the days my granny on dads side made 94 too.

We all falling out much younger seems  .  LOL"

I too remember (vaguely) the milk carton/cow moo thing LOL.  I did not stay in touch with Bobby but while I knew him in school (8 years I believe)he was always a great sincere person.  And the mention I made earlier about the calendar...I believe He and Vivian Valdes were on the cover? Not quite sure about Vivian being on it but seeing her name spurred my memory of the cover pictures.

Bobby's daughter, Beth Culbertson White, posted the funeral arrangements for Bobby on the MCC fb page.  His memorial service will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.at Marcus Point Baptist Church where he was a member and mentor to many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the church c/o Excellent Way Ministries. Harper Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and an obituary will be published Sunday on pnj.com.  The city and state were not mentioned but I googled same and found in Pensacola, FL.  Anybody near the area who can attend on behalf of MCC is greatly appreciated.  Please pray for the family during this very difficult time of grieving and coming to terms with their great loss.

Linda,

Did you get an address where sympathy cards can be sent?  it would be nice if the people who knew him from hs could send stories of Bobby that we found charming as he was such a cut up.

We are all saddened to hear of Bobby's passing on May 27. You may read the obit and share condolences in the guestbook by visiting: www.legacy.com/obituaries/Pensacolanewsjournal. I will be making a donation on behalf of the Class of '68 to Marcus Pointe Baptist Church c/o Excellent Way Ministries as requested by the family. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 8, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. I wish I could be there......Janis

According to Bob Culbertson's obit, he graduated in Pensacola not MCC.  Thought that was interesting.

For some reason - maybe it's my computer - the link above did not work for me so I searched for the obit and found it. Here is a similar link that might work if you are having trouble with the other one.

It's an address (above) - not a link, so you might need to copy and paste it in your browser.

Linda Riser who originally posted to MCC's fb page Bobby's funeral arrangements is trying to get an address for those who would like to send sympathy cards to the family (per Susan's earlier request). I will post as soon as I have that information.
